What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember preferences and understand how pages are used. For how we handle personal data more broadly, see our privacy policy.
How CloudScalr uses cookies
We use essential cookies required to operate the site (including remembering your cookie consent choice) and optional analytics cookies that help us understand aggregate visit patterns. Analytics cookies load only after you accept.
Cookies table
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| cloudscalr_cookie_consent | Stores your Accept or Reject choice for the cookie banner | 1 year (localStorage) | CloudScalr |
| _ga | Optional analytics — distinguishes visitors | 2 years | Google Analytics (if accepted) |
| _ga_* | Optional analytics — session state | 2 years | Google Analytics (if accepted) |
Managing or disabling cookies
Use the Accept or Reject buttons on our banner. Rejecting does not block browsing, forms, or engagement pages. You can also clear site data in your browser settings, which removes the stored consent choice and may show the banner again.
Third-party cookies
If you accept analytics, third-party providers may set cookies subject to their own policies. We do not control those providers’ independent practices.
Impact of disabling
Essential consent storage may be unavailable if localStorage is blocked; the banner may reappear each visit. Disabling analytics cookies does not affect estimate requests or reading Field Notes.
